Hildegard (of Bingen) is now an "Official Selection" at the Religious Faith International Film Festival.
“I enjoy all her work and it’s probably mainly the genre but in Silent Movie you can see elements that her gift for storytelling is very sophisticated. The chosen screens she uses while adding great screen design, her videos are a lot of fun to watch. I enjoy having them part of my every day.” — Philip McCobb
Reframing Perception: Small vs. Mini Artworks
"Reframing Perception: Small vs. Miniature Artworks"Miniature Isn't the same as small. Artworks under 12” are considered small works, a positive-sounding phrase. Miniature artworks are usually thought of as under 25 square inches or able to fit in the palm of a hand. Many of my mixed-media handmade collage artworks are 4x6”, horizontal and vertical. In the secular world (outside the art industry insiders), small can carry a negative energy feeling, while miniature may be associated with common things such as collectibles, dog breeds, and dollhouse furniture, having a more rare and heartfelt feeling reminiscent of childhood.
What is an art house cinema?
An arthouse film, also known as art cinema, is a type of movie that strays from the mainstream commercial path to create a unique artistic expression. These films are typically characterized by their serious, often experimental nature, prioritizing directorial creativity and artistic vision over mass-market appeal.
They tend to target niche audiences, offering depth, complexity, and unconventional narrative structures. Arthouse films provide a distinctive perspective, challenging traditional cinematic norms while pushing the boundaries of storytelling and visual aesthetics.
